Teacher Feature: Sheila Rigelsky

About Sheila
Sheila P. Rigelsky is the Director of Events for Lakewood Country Club. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences -Tourism Marketing and Management. Having been involved in marketing and event planning for nineteen years, she has planned various events from relaxed pool parties to business meetings to extravagant wedding receptions. Before coming to Lakewood Country Club sixteen years ago, she worked in Tourism Marketing for the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, planned and implemented events for the Dallas Petroleum Club and was the Director of Sales at a Hilton Hotel. In 2002, she became a Certified Wedding Planner and continues to study the latest wedding trends.
Sheila is the current AACWP Vice President. She has also held the Education position on the Board. Sheila has facilitated the AACWP Certification Course multiple times, as well as, acted as an instructor for the course.
When she is not at Lakewood or working on AACWP endeavors, she is busy teaching dance and competitive baton twirling. And, of course she enjoys spending time with her husband Jay, son Jaxx and daughter, Seanna.
