Flashback Friday Vendis Style!

Happy Flashback Friday!

Three months ago today we hosted our annual Vendis Awards gala, and man did this year go off with a bang! We have many amazing sponsors to thank for that, but we also want to thank all of the hardworking vendors who are the reason we host this event year after year. All of the vendors we work with throughout the year are the inspiration for this fun evening. We want to do something to give back to them every year for all of the hard work they do for us and our clients. It is all of these vendors who make us look good when everything goes right on event day!

So a huge thank you to everyone we work with at all of our events, and to all of the vendors who were nominated this year for their spectacular work. Whether you won or not, you made a big impact on us and our clients and we are forever grateful. The nominees are chosen every year by write-in ballots from all of the AACWP members. The board does not choose certain people and then let the members vote, and we do not choose people based on how many events we worked with them on or how many times they recommended us to their clients, etc. It is a purely organic process meant to honor those who we truly hold in high esteem.

So if you are nominated for a Vendi you can feel confident knowing that many of our members hold you in high regard and look forward to working with you again in the future and recommending your business to our clients. It is an honor to work with all of you and we want to then honor you by showing you a night full of fun, calling you out by name as a nominee, showcasing your work, and hopefully by handing you an award!

Just as every year, this year we had an astounding crop of nominees to choose from. So making a decision on who should win was certainly hard for all of the members to accomplish! The voting process goes through a couple rounds with the members nominating their favorites, narrowing the selection down from those based on how many write-in nominations each company has, then giving the top names in each category back to the members for them to vote on their absolute favorites. And this year there were even six categories that were decided with six or less votes separating the winner and the runner-up!

So as we are in the middle of the Spring/Summer wedding season now, make note of the wonderful vendors you are working with and think of who you might want to nominate for the following year. Thank those vendors for a job well done!

As another thank you to all of the winners from that night, here is the list of everyone who went home with a brand-new shiny award!
